Amelia Poon at Zavvi Grafton Centre

August 26th, 2010 · No Comments · 2010 posts, Uncategorized

Amelia Poon has been displaying a selection of her quite incredible ‘Mobile Series’ in The Zavvi store within The Grafton Centre for a while now. The good news is that they are still up for all to see!

Amelia creates her sculptures out of “recycled newspapers, meticulously rolled up one by one in the name of Optical Art” and the results are absolutely spectacular. They really are truly incredible pieces of work that deserve serious praise and attention.

On that note, it is important to mention that a selection of the works on display have been shortlisted for a number of prestigious shows and competitions including The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2010, The London International Creative Competition and The Threadneedle Prize 2010.

Congratulations Amelia!

I highly recommend you both check out her work in Cambridge but also make sure you visit her site http://ameliapoon.com
